Peninsula Paddlers is a recreational kayak club with approximately 80 members who love to paddle!  The club schedules paddles throughout the spring, summer and fall (and the occasional winter paddle) catering to a wide range of skill levels from beginners to pros.  The club does not offer a learn to kayak or skills development program, but our members are very generous with tips and tricks to improve your paddling experience. You will need your own kayak. Members will assist in loading/unloading and help where you need it once you get to the launch site.

 In the off season we periodically get together for social events, so we do stay connected throughout the year.

Weekly Paddles

The Events Calendar outlines the paddle schedule, location and paddle leader. Our aim is to provide a minimum of three paddles per week, one on Saturday mornings, one on Wednesday mornings, and one evening paddle on either a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Often a member will add on a paddle, in addition to our regular schedule, so check the Events Calendar regularly for updates.   Members will receive an email approximately a week prior with details regarding the date, time, location, skill level and similar details about the paddle.

Multi Day Trips

Through out the season, multi day trips are offered to various locations through out the province. In recent years, trips to Parry Sound, the Bruce Peninsula, Eastern Ontario and the Ottawa River have all been popular and loads of fun. These trips book up quickly so keep a look out for the details when they become available and sign up early.

Guests

If you are looking to check out the club without joining, you can attend up to two paddles as a guest. Please contact the Tour Director at penpaddlers.tour@gmail.com

Weather

Mother Nature can sometimes cause a delay or cancellation of a paddle. If you have signed up for a paddle, please check your emails prior to loading your kayak and departing. There may have been changes based on weather. The trip leader will advise if this is the case.

Paddle Leaders
